STAFF SERVICE SELECTION – Combined Graduate Level Examination 2017

Staff Service Selection will hold the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2017 (Tier I) from 01 August 2017 to 20 August 2017 for selecting the candidates for Tier II Examination for filling up different categories of posts in various Ministry Departments/ Organization. Final Selection to specific categories of posts would be according to the confirmed number of vacancies from the concerned indenting industries.

1) Assistant Section Officer – Central Secretariat Service

2) Assistant Section Officer – Intelligence Bureau

3) Assistant Section Officer – Ministry of Railway

4) Assistant Section Officer – Ministry of External Affairs

5) Assistant Section Officer – AFHQ

6) Assistant – Other Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations

7) Assistant – Other Ministries / Departments

8) Assistant/ Superintendent – Other Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations

9) Inspector of Income Tax – CBDT

10) Inspector, Central Excise – CBEC

11) Inspector (Preventive Officer) – CBEC

Group C Post –

1) Junior Statistical Officer – M/o Statistics & Program Implementation

Pay Scale – Candidates will be selected on the pay band of Rs. 9300 to 34800 (pre – revised)

Age Limitation – Candidate must be within the age limit of 18 to 30 Years.

A Central Civil Posts carrying the grade pay – Rs. 5400, Rs. 4800, Rs. 4600 and Rs. 4200 in the pay scale of Rs. 9300 to 34800/-


A Central Civil Posts carrying grade pay – Rs. 2800, Rs. 2400, Rs. 200 and Rs. 1900 in the pay scale of Rs. 5200 to 20200/-




Eligibility Requirement –

Candidate should have qualified Graduation Degree in any stream from the recognized University or Institute.

Application Fee –

General / OBC – Rs. 100/-

SC/ST/PH/ Female Candidates – They are exempted to pay fee

Payment of application fee can be made via online mode – Debit/ Credit card/ Net Banking or through E Challan at any branch of State Bank of India.

Date of Computer Based Examination (Tier I) – 01 August 2017 – 20 August 2017

Date of Tier II – 10 November 2017 & 11 November 2017

Date of Tier II (Descriptive) – 21 January 2018

Date of Tier IV (Skill Test) – Feb, 2018

Tier I – Computer Based Examination

Tier II – Computer based Examination

Tier III – Pen and Paper Mode

Tier IV – Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test

How to Apply –

  • The Application must be submitted through online mode only. Online Submission of the application may be made at website –
  • Candidates should fill the form and upload the scanned copy of photo and signature and then make the payment of application fee.
  • Those who are exempted to pay the fee they may skip the procedure and may proceed for the submission of Online Application Form.
  • After final submission candidates are required to keep the Registration/ Roll Number safely for the further reference.
